Using Color Basics: Color Mixer (activity 11)

  1. Workshop: open activity11.fla
  2. Explore how to select different solid colors as well as changing the brightness and darkness of that color.
  3. Select "linear" type and explore how to change colors, set and remove color pointers to manipulate the gradiation, and swap colors.
  4. Select "radial" type and repeat step three exploration.

Using Color Basics: Gradient Transform Tool (activity 12)
  1. Workshop: open activity12.fla
  2. Select the "Rectange Tool" and turn the "Object Mode" on in the "Context Sensitive" area. Next draw and fill a rectangle, using the "radial" type of filling.
  3. In the "Tools Panel" select the "Gradient Transform Tool (F)" and explore the controls.

Using Color Basics: Color Swatches (activity 13)
  1. Workshop: open activity13.fla
  2. In the "Color Panel" select the tab "Swatches."
  3. In the "Swatches" menu, clear all colors.
  4. Select the "Eyedropper" and select a color in the graphic, then pour it either in the solid or gradient area of the "Swatches" panel. Repeat until all colors have been added.
  5. Once all colors have been selected, choose to "Sort by Color"
  6. Now in the menu, select to "Save Colors"
  7. You now can add this swatch of colors to any .fla file by selecting "Add Colors".
